With Valentine’s Day around the corner you might be wondering what to get that special someone. Flowers? Chocolate? How about a few beers and a Knockout?

A study from The Journals of Gerontology: Series B  found that couples who shared similar drinking habits reported having less negativity in the relationship over time. The study asked participants how many drinks they consumed a week, and then asked each participant if they found their spouse “irritating, critical or too demanding”. The study found that couples who reported similar drinking habits got along better with their partner. Drinking together allowed partners to unwind, relax and connect with one another.

Now before you decide to down a case of beer remember that the study found that people who consume too much alcohol tended to have problems in their relationships so enjoy those drinks responsibly.

Hopefully there will be some sort of study like this about herb someday. Until then crack open some cold ones and cheers to your relationship!
